Next, which canvas made the most sense? So many choices, and I don't like wasting my time.


I started off with this-

Got this response, which I started with, until I realized I was doing a double page spread and so got this excellent reply from Jordi again -



So I started off with this canvas, started drawing on the first layer, and then just layers on top as you will see in this video (I will fix this...).

Roughs were drawn at 2" x 3" in my sketchbook using Warm Grey Copics then colored in Photoshop CS3.

Next, I scanned the art and played around with the leg/foot placement of the two characters as I wasn't happy.


So then moved on with these altered parts.

Star Wars Age of Rebellion Leia Step by Step



COVER SKETCH

The cover concept I sent into Marvel and Lucasfilm for approval. 

Roughs were drawn at 2" x 3" in my sketchbook using Warm Grey Copics then colored in Photoshop CS3.

We had a pretty good idea of what the cover was going to be so not much of a change from my concepts.

I colored this on my Cintiq 22 HD using Photoshop CS3 .
