San Diego Comic Con 2013 RECAP 2 Thursday and Friday

Back to action that was SDCC 2013!

Early Thursday, you can already feel things amping up a bit!

Before my Flesk Publications ( http://fleskpublications.com/flesksite/ ) panel, sitting with John Fleskes, Brom ( http://www.bromart.com ) , and Mark Schultz ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mark-Schultzs-Xenozoic-Tales-and-Other-Stories/223005194775 ), and host, actor, writer, filmmaker - Jonathan Leveck.

View from the panel.

It's CHATTE NOIRE at my table - cool!

At my Halo:Iniatitive signing at the Dark Horse Booth, hanging with the Master Chief!

Hanging out Jason Schachter ( http://www.essentialsequential.com ) and Blacksad artist, Juanjo Guardino ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juanjo_Guarnido ) after the show.

Scored some excellent Eric Canete ( http://kahnehteh.blogspot.com ) drawings from Jason!

Ahh, San Diego Comic Con.

Getting rolling on some sketches before I head over to the con Friday morning.

My first sketch at SDCC 2013, Jedi Somebodyoranother.

Security detail at my table.

The Drew Struzan ( http://www.drewstruzan.com ) panel Friday night, my first panel I've ATTENDED as a pro - just really cool to sit back and enjoy one of these and of course, to hear Drew speak.

Friday night after the show!

Let's get this party started....

  2. Looks like you guys had a blast; one day I'll make it there to see the Master Artist Mr. TD! Anyway, I'm waiting on my copy of your latest sketchbook from Stuart NG Books.
That Giant Spider you showcased in the past blog article really got me thinking about giant mutants vs tiny minions; can't image what the local ants must think when they see that hairy spider :)
Just saw the art by Juanjo Guarnido for the first time, after researching the things you wrote in this post. I'll check out his stuff, since I also like drawing anthros.
Looking forward to more of your "Red Widow" stuff! Keep up the good work Mr. Dodson!

    1. Juanjo is amazing - he started at Disney and the Blacksad is amazing and can now be bought here in the US through Dark Horse.

That spider was really something ...
