This was probably my favorite "assignment" from SDCC - a Calendar Girl sketchbook. I did "July" as it was available and the date was July 14th, Bastille Day in France, so I thought cool - I'll do a period piece - but I realized that the person holding the gun and sword would probably have been the one being shot so I switched to a Fourth of July theme :-)
